Vajrapani Kadampa Buddhist Centre
Founded in 2001 by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, Vajrapani Kadampa Buddhist Centre is among Johannesburg’s most comprehensive spiritual centres for the study and practice of pure Mahayana Buddhist teachings.
Part of the New Kadampa Tradition-International Kadampa Buddhist Union, our centre presents time-honored Buddhist teachings and meditations through approaches relevant for today’s modern, busy world. By training in meditation and other Buddhist practices, anyone can improve the quality of their life by developing inner peace, compassion and wisdom.
Vajrapani Kadampa Buddhist Centre is a registered non-profit organisation (N.P.O. 011-344) with the Republic of South Africa’s Department of Social Development.
