Away Retreat: 8 Steps to Happiness
13th – 15th October 2017
Nearly 1,000 years ago, a Tibetan monk named Geshe Langri Tangpa composed a short poem that shows even today how we can transform life’s difficulties into valuable spiritual insights. With just eight verses, the poem describes how to build self esteem, heal the body and mind, and improve relationships so that we accumulate greater patience, empathy and compassion for all living beings.
Join us for this away retreat in the beautiful Magaliesberg Mountains (just an hour’s drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria) during which our Resident Teacher Gen Kelsang Mila will share the rich insight of this ancient wisdom to help us find greater happiness and meaning in our busy, modern lives. Through the retreat’s teachings, meditations (including a walking one), and gentle silence, we’ll challenge ourselves to think differently and view the world with remarkably positive minds.
