The Official Opening of the Kadampa Buddhist Temple at KMC Brazil. The Empowerment and Commentary to the practice of Je Tsongkhapa, and the blessing transmission of Modern Buddhism: The Path of Compassion and Wisdom
The Festival will begin on Friday October 22 with a special Wishfulfilling Jewel puja with tsog offering led by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, marking the Official Opening of the Kadampa Buddhist Temple at KMC Brazil.
On Saturday October 23 Venerable Geshe Kelsang will grant the Blessing Empowerment of Je Tsongkhapa. This is a special opportunity to make a strong connection with the Wisdom Buddha Je Tsongkhapa and to receive his blessings.
Je Tsongkhapa is the Wisdom Buddha who appeared in Tibet and spread a pure Buddhadharma that showed how to combine the practices of Sutra and Tantra. He displayed a perfect example of how to build the foundation for the spiritual path, how to progress on that path and how to complete it. He also embodies the wisdom, compassion and spiritual power of all the Buddhas. By relying upon Je Tsongkhapa and engaging in meditations that focus on him, we can also develop and perfect these qualities within ourselves.
From Sunday October 24 to Tuesday October 26 Venerable Geshe Kelsang will give a three-day commentary to the meditation practice of Je Tsongkhapa, and a blessing transmission of Modern Buddhism: The Path of Compassion and Wisdom.
This will be followed by a two-day retreat led by Gen-la Dekyong on the teachings given by Venerable Geshe Kelsang.
