Guided by experienced instructors, you will explore the significance and symbolism behind the Mala beads and the materials used. \nYou will craft your very own Mala through step-by-step instructions. You can select beads that resonate with you. Discover the beauty of creating and using a Mala, and leave with a meaningful keepsake to support your meditation practice and spiritual growth.\nThis workshop is open to all levels of experience, and no prior knowledge of Buddhism is required. All materials will be provided.\n \n\nWHAT IS A MALA?\nA mala is a string of beads used to count prayers or mantra recitations. This is a simple practice that easily connects us with the good qualities of all enlightened beings, and helps us to realize our highest potential. For Buddhist practitioners, their mala is a very precious and meaningful object.\n\n\nWHAT ARE MANTRAS?\nMantra is a Sanskrit word, literally meaning `mind protection’. Mantra gives our mind focus and purity and so we are protected from distraction and negative thoughts. Mantras are special, sacred sounds that embody wisdom and compassion we can recite them at any time and we will quickly find we are able to transform our mind to a positive state.\n \nThis workshop is open to all levels of experience, and no prior knowledge of Buddhism is required.\n** Please book early, so we can ensure there are enough materials for everyone.
