DESCRIPTION: \nVajrapani KBC  is a registered NPO 011-344 and is run entirely by volunteers.\n \nVolunteering for the Centre has immeasurable benefit. It is a great to way to find out about the Centre’s range of activities and to meet the friendly community who support its development. \nThere are a multitude of jobs that need completing to ensure the Centre runs smoothly for everyone who visits. There are jobs for everyone. \nSome small and quick, some more longer term and regular weekly tasks that come with great training and input from our dedicated management team. Any help of any kind is greatly appreciated. \n \nCome and join our next Centre Volunteering day:\nSaturday 6th June 10:00 – 12:30\n \n“All Kadampa centers are dedicated to all living beings. They belong to them, remaining in their service for all time,\nand can never be taken over by individuals or organizations and used for other purposes.” – Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche\n \nFor this reason, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche says that these centers are very precious and that whenever we engage in an action to benefit a center we are in fact benefitting all living beings. Through such actions we accumulate vast merit, purify negativities, and receive powerful blessings\n \nVKBC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing peace and happiness to Johannesburg and the surrounding areas. We aim to teach people how to develop pure, positive states of mind, giving practical tools to transform the difficulties of everyday life into opportunities for personal growth and transformation using modern Kadampa Buddhism and meditation. \n \nOur Center runs on volunteers. When we come together there is power, and this power creates change through meditating together, building community and envisioning what can happen when we are happy and cherishing others. We accumulate good fortune, a positive state of mind, and we support a peaceful place of refuge for others to enjoy. \n​\nVolunteer opportunities are available in the education and administrative departments.  Some volunteer areas for each department are listed below.
