DESCRIPTION: \nBUDDHA’S ENLIGHTENMENT DAY\n \nApril 15th marks the anniversary of Buddha Shakyamuni demonstrating the attainment of enlightenment in 589 B.C.E.\nThis is an extremely important day in the Buddhist calendar because our actions are 100,000 times more powerful than on other days.\nThis event is marked by special purification and fasting retreats in Kadampa Buddhist Centers worldwide. It is also a special method for receiving blessings and improving our experience of love, compassion, and bodhichitta. \n \nHow to join in ?\nIn Person at Vajrapani Kadampa Buddhist Center\nThe Woods Shopping Centre, 345 Jan Smuts Ave, Upper level, Craighall Park, 2196\nPlease arrive a few  minutes before the event starts to register and settle in.  We have a book shop to browse, water on sale.
