Join us for this Away Weekend Meditation Retreat to learn how to become aware of the peaceful nature of your mind.
When the turbulence of mental busyness subsides and your mind becomes still, a deep sense of happiness and contentment naturally arises from within. When we see this through our own experience, we become confident, strong, and truly feel alive.
There will be periods where we utilize silence to deepen our experience and practice.
The Retreat takes place at Thirsty Falls Guest Farm in the Magaliesburg, a 90-minute drive from Johannesburg or Pretoria.
About the Venue:
Thirsty Falls offers spectacular views and absolute privacy in a tranquil environment. Thirsty
Falls derives its name from the many mountain waterfalls above the cliffs, that happen during Highveld thunderstorms, the waters vanish into the underground caverns.
About the Teacher
The Retreat will be guided by Gen Kelsang Mila, Resident Teacher of Vajrapani Kadampa Buddhist Centre, Johannesburg, an ordained Buddhist nun, within the New Kadampa Tradition. Her teachings are always practical and easy to apply to everyday life.

Friday 28th, (silence until lunch)
Breakfast 7 am – 8.30 am (self-service)
Session 1 9.am – 10.15 am.
Tea
Session 2 11.15 am– 12.30 pm

Session 3 4.30 pm – 5.45 pm
Supper 6.15 pm – 7.15 pm
Gentle silence is observed from after dinner until lunch the next day.
