Learn How to Meditate
Establishing a regular meditation practice can seem overwhelming at first. Do I need any special equipment? How long should I meditate for? What’s the goal exactly? What about those apps – are they any good?
Get the answers to all these questions and more at our Learn to Meditate workshop. Taught by Buddhist Monk, Kelsang Sangkyong who will teach proven strategies for calming the mind, reducing stress, and finding peace wherever you are.
Everybody is welcome to this meditation workshop.
No need to wear special clothing. Dress comfortably. We sit on chairs or you can sit on a cushion and mat on the floor, which we provide. You can pay at the door
About the Teacher
Kelsang Sangkyong has been a monk of the New Kadampa Tradition for 15 years and has been teaching meditation in Pretoria, Johannesburg, and recently in Cape Town. He is loved for his light and down-to-earth approach in sharing Buddhist wisdom

Please use the Rothesay Avenue entrance to the parking lot. Park at Baby City and use those steps to come up to the upper-level courtyard.
Please arrive 15 minutes before the event starts to register and settle in. We have a bookshop to browse, water on sale, and it is helpful to bring a pen and notebook if you would like to take notes. There is secure and ample parking.
