Branch Classes
Branch Meditation Groups play an enormous part of the activities of the Centre. If we think of the Centre like the trunk of the tree and the branches are like branches that grow out from the tree trunk.
What would a tree be like without branches, what would the Centre be like without branches, it would be empty of activities. The centre functions to branch out to the surrounding areas to bring meditation to people’s doorsteps.
In our virtual world, we can easily switch on our television, our computer and have the meditation beamed right into our living room.
If we look at Buddha teachings, it actually is very different. The difference lies in the Sangha, the spiritual community.
We get Sangha when we turn up at a meditation class, when we sit in a group of people, when we study together learning about what makes our life meaningful.
