BUDDHA’S ENLIGHTENMENT DAY

 

April 15th marks the anniversary of Buddha Shakyamuni demonstrating the attainment of enlightenment in 589 B.C.E. 

This is an extremely important day in the Buddhist calendar because our actions are 100,000 times more powerful than on other days.

You are invited to join in this special event, remembering and appreciating Guru Buddhas inconceivable kindness to the people of this world.

 

Programme:

Chanted Prayers (OSG) with a food offering and afterwards a party to enjoy the company of like minded people and to celebrate this special occasion, sharing a meal together. 

What to bring? something vegetarian to offer and share afterwards.

The Woods Shopping Centre, 345 Jan Smuts Ave, Upper level, Craighall Park, 2196

Please arrive a few  minutes before the event starts to register and settle in.  We have a book shop to browse, water on sale. There is secure and ample parking.
