The Art of Enlightenment – Drawings Buddha’s face with Leigh Ponsonby and Benji Changfoot
To paint Buddha’s face is not merely an artistic activity, but a gentle meditation in action.
As we carefully place each line and colour, we are creating an appearance of enlightenment that gradually begins to arise within our own mind. Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso teaches that by relying upon holy images with faith, we accumulate great merit and naturally develop a peaceful, happy mind.
In this session, we will slow down, become present, and engage in a meaningful, creative practice that connects us to the qualities of wisdom, compassion, and inner beauty that Buddha represents. Whether you are experienced or completely new, this is an opportunity to create something deeply meaningful, both on the canvas and within your heart.
