By training in meditation, we create an inner space and clarity that enables us to control our mind regardless of the external circumstances. Gradually we develop mental equilibrium, a balanced mind that is happy all the time, rather than an unbalanced mind that oscillates between the extremes of excitement and despondency.

Each class is self-contained and can be attended individually.
Beginners and everyone is welcome. No need to wear special clothing. Dress comfortably. We sit on chairs.

About the Teacher:
A working Dad of four, who is passionate about finding practical application of Buddhism in daily life.
Matevhu has been practicing Kadampa Buddhism since 2012. He started teaching meditation classes while living in Cape Town, also lived and taught meditation classes in Durban over the past two years. Now excited to be back in Johannesburg after having left in 2016.
How to join in?
In Person at Vajrapani Kadampa Buddhist Centre
You are invited to arrive a few minutes before the class starts to register and settle in or have a cup of tea or coffee. We have a book shop to browse and water on sale. There is secure and ample parking.
After the class there are refreshments and an opportunity to ask questions informally and meet other people.
