Buddhas Enlightenment Day Celebration

Event Description:

Join in to Celebrate Buddha’s Enlightenment Day at Vajrapani Kadampa Buddhist Centre. 

Programme:

18:00 – 20:00 Chanted Prayers, Offering to the Spiritual Guide, with a food offering and afterwards a party to enjoy the company of like minded people and to celebrate this special occasion, sharing a meal together. 

What to bring? something vegetarian to offer and share afterwards.

April 15th marks the anniversary of Buddha Shakyamuni demonstrating the attainment of enlightenment in 589 B.C.E.

This is an extremely important day in the Buddhist calendar because our actions are 100,000 times more powerful than on other days.

How to join in? 

In Person at Vajrapani Kadampa Buddhist Center

The Woods, 345 Jan Smuts Ave, Upper level, Craighall Park, 2196

 Please use the Rothesay Avenue entrance to the parking lot. Park at Baby City and use those steps to come up to the Upper Level courtyard.

Please arrive 10 – 15 minutes before the event starts to register and settle in.  We have a book shop to browse, water on sale. There is secure and ample parking.
