Anger is like a Fire in the Mind with Gen Mila
A 4-week series of meditation classes in Johannesburg on how to reduce the power of anger and its frequency.
Anger is the fire that burns the wood of our virtue or good fortune. It lurks behind all disputes whether they are domestic quarrels between a husband and wife or a war between nations. Anger disturbs not only our own mind but the peace of others as well.
In this class, we will explore the Buddhist approach to understanding anger and changing the habits that keep it going. Through meditation and practical teachings, we will learn how to let go of anger and move forward with greater freedom and peace.
In these classes, Gen Mila will explain why letting go of anger is essential for a happy life, showing how anger can become a deeply ingrained habit and how it affects the people around us. Through relatable examples, using Buddhist wisdom and personal experience, we can conclude we cannot control difficult situations, however we can choose how we respond to them.
Class format includes a short talk, guided meditations and discussion.
Start at the beginning of the 4 week series if you can, but if you miss the beginning then start when you are able.
Everyone is welcome.
