Great Preliminary Guide: Guru Yoga
Gen Kelsang Mila will give an introduction to this Retreat as a Preparatory Guide on Saturday 3rd January Session 1, on how to recognize our Guru, receive his powerful blessings and make our progress on the spiritual path successful and effective.
Together, we will draw closer and closer to our Root Guru, and create very powerful actions that will cause Kadam Dharma to flourish in our hearts and throughout the world. There is no better offering to repay our Guru’s kindness.
The retreat will conclude with a Vajradaka Burning offering practice (Sadhana: Vajradaka Burning Offering)
Please bring your own Vegetarian or vegan lunch. We can all sit together and discuss any question you may have.
Qualifications necessary to participate in this retreat :
- The main qualification to do retreats is faith.
- Received a Je Tsongkhapa empowerment with Guru Sumati Buddha Heruka transmission of the mantra or and Highest Yoga Tantra empowerments, faithful disciples that wish to engage in this retreat.
Programme: All sessions are self-guided except for the Preparatory Guided 3rd January Session 1, where Gen Mila will give and introduction. There will be opportunities to ask questions during the lunch breaks however.

About the Teacher
As a student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, Gen Kelsang Mila is a modern day Kadampa Nun and the resident teacher of Vajrapani Kadampa Buddhist Centre. She has been a student of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for over 20 years and ordained for fifteen years. Her teachings are always practical and easy to apply to everyday life.
